Christmas 2011 - Pleasant Grove

Since we were out in Roosevelt for Christmas morning this year, we had to wait and do it with my family till later. Owen and Desi still had just as much fun! This is the tree after everything was opened on Chistmas morning and only Owen and Desi's presents were left over! Holy spoiled!!!
They both loved all the attention and got some great things. Here are a few snippits!!!
Laptop for Owen.
Clothes for Desi. What girl doesn't need more!
I think this was the favorite. An OPTIMUS PRIME transformer form his cousin!
He also got a pirate dress up chest from his aunt and uncle and loves it!!!

Christmas 2011 - Roosevelt

Better late than never on getting pictures up.
Terrell and I made the trip out to Roosevelt for Christmas this year. We hadn't been out there for Christmas since Owen was first born. And when we went then, I felt bad because it seemed like we had tons to open and everyone kept looking at us saying, "Terrell and Shelby have another one!" So I was a bit nervous to bring out ALL our presents, since now I spoil my kids more and there are 2 of them. I am awful. Terrell told me not to worry about it and just bring them all. My worries got put by the wayside when we arrived Christmas eve and you could only see about the top 3 feet of the tree. The rest was COVERED. And Santa hadn't even come yet.
Owen had such a great time waking up Chistmas morning. Santa brought him a Transformer scooter. He is into anything Transformer right now.
Desi loves to help mommy with anything she is doing so Santa thought she would like a cleaning set of her own. He was right. She swept and mopped all day!!! She is also a very GIRLY GIRL and loves baby dolls and purses. She carried those everywhere she went.
Terrell got a Wii. He shows no emotion so I don't know how much he loves it.
I think I was the most suprised out of everyone. In remodeling the house, I told Terrell that our front room is something that I want to do exactly how I wanted and hold nothing back. So, my idea was a loveseat, 2 wingback chairs, and a sofa table. He looked at me like I was dreaming when he found out how much wingback chairs were (around 500 dollars each). My sister stumbled upon some used chairs and Terrell and I decided to try and re-upholster them ourselves. It was mostly Terrell that did the work. But they turned out great.
Here is the old ugly-ness!!!
And these are the new awesome-ness!
So, the only thing left in my room was a sofa table. THAT is what I got for Christmas. I was SOO suprised. Terrell had arranged for his sister to pretend to do a girls day out, when really it was just a cover up for him building this for me. I know, I am spoiled. It looks so great and now my room is finally done!!!!
We all had a great time with the family and celebrating together.

Grand America Ball

One of the doctors at Terrell's work had an Anniversary Ball for him and his wife. They held it at the Grand America Hotel in SLC and we were invited!!
I was SOO excited to get all dressed up and go dancing. There was only one problem. I was pregnant and didn't have anything that would work (or fit)!!! So, even better, I got to go shopping. I found a lovely dress that made me feel classy and elegant. It isn't even a maternity gown so I am hoping I can wear it again!
We only got 1 picture. I know, I am awful at documenting things, especially anything other than my kids, but here it is.
We had such a great time and it was nice to get away from life and enjoy being a couple together.

Family night pictures

It seems like these types of posts are the only ones I do. Catching up with the busy lives we have.

I will again praise my husband for being willing and able to take such wonderful pictures of our kiddos. We didn't know what to do for family night one night so we decided to get dressed up and go to the park across from the Timp Temple and take a few pictures of the kids and my neice Kaia. It was very fun and we got some great ones.

I love her giggle in this one.

Owen is getting to be such a big boy and has such a strong personality.

Kaia was very cute all dressed up too!!

Desi LOVES Kaia and gets in her face at every oppurtunity.

This one is my LOVELY sister and her baby!!!! We had to inclued one of the both of them.

My sister-in-law made her cupcakes. They were delicious rootbeer float flavored!
I love that a have a photographer husband to capture my kids at their biggest milestones. We try and take their pictures every year.
My cute 1 year old!!
I do have some really cute kids!!!
Last is my birthday. I turned 26 this year. I am the mother of 2 amazing kids and married to a wonderful husband. I couldn't ask for a better life right now. Thanks for all my family for all the birthday love and wishes for my whole family.

Kaia Marie Rasband

My older sister had her baby in April and Terrell took some newborn pics for them. She is SOOO cute!!!

Stawberry days

Now that we live in Pleasant Grove, we have to make Strawberry Days part of our summers. We went to the carnival this year and Owen had a ball.
And who doesn't LOVE strawberries and cream!

Family Vacation 2011

We had a very fun and fast summer this year. Most of our time was spent working on our yard trying to get grass in but we did find time to have a little fun.

Terrell is very into softball again this year and loves every game. He looks forward to it each week. He had a game down in provo and we decided to go early and take a few pics of the kids. I cannot believe how grown up they are.
Owen is my bundle of joy.
I feel like Desi is growing up way too fast. She is all smiles and loves the camera.
My mother-in-law got us 7 peaks passes for Christmas last year and the kids and I took full advantage of it.
At the end of June, Terrell had a bunch of time off so we took our big family vacation. We invited Terrell's parents to come along and it was a blast. We toured some of the National parks in Utah and Colorado and then headed to a Rockies baseball game.
We encountered our fair share if wildlife on the trip. It was my first time seeing a moose. And did I get to see it. We woke up one morning and there was one about 15 feet away. Then the next day, we were hiking on a trail and there was another one way close.
One of the camping sites we stayed in had a grass feild right next to our site and when we got there the sprinklers were on. So while we were setting up camp, we let owen play for a little. He had a great time getting soaked!!
There was plenty of beautiful scenery and all kinds of hikes we did. It was an amazing adventure.
The last day, we took Owen to Georgetown, CO. They have an old railroad that they do tours on and Owen LOVED it!
THE ROCKIES GAME!!!!
I love how in every picture, Terrell has a mouth full of sunflower seeds!
